Flatland is an abstract novel written by Edwin A. Abbotts. It is a fictional story written in Victorian times to try and explain the concept of dimensions. Colour was banned in Flatland, so there is no colour in the book. The covers and slipcase are engraved, and the chapter dividers are die-cut circles that grow larger towards the middle of the Z-bind. The circles grow smaller to the outside covers which represents a pivotal part of the story where a sphere enters the 2D land.
